Deadly Genomes

Deadly Genomes

PreviousNext

A project with Martin Krzywinski and others at Canada’s Michael Smith Genome Sciences Center to visualize the genomes of bacteria and viruses that cause human disease.

Each bacteria or virus is represented by a continuous line, which curves and changes color based on the genetic content. Each disease is also charted based on the number of worldwide cases and deaths, and by overall lethality.

For more information see the Deadly Genomes project page.
